Memorials

If you have lost a loved one or colleague who was a Texas attorney, the State Bar of Texas would like to publish a memorial, free of charge, in the Texas Bar Journal as an expression of our respect.

We ask that you submit a completed memorial questionnaire form and a high-quality photograph, which will be returned to you as soon as the memorial is published. Due to the number of memorials we receive, and limited space in the Bar Journal, the wait for publication is approximately two to three months. While you are welcome to send additional material, such as a newspaper obituary, space constraints limit the amount of detail that we are able to include, and information featured is primarily legal related. For the same reason, we are unable to list deceased family members as well as extended family survivors and the residences of survivors.
