Roger Key

2014-15 Chair, State Bar of Texas

Roger Key is a partner in Key & Terrell LLP in Lubbock, where he practices business and transactional law. He holds a BBA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin (1973) and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law (1976).

Key has served as a director of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (1985-1987), president of the Lubbock County Bar Association (1999-2000), and president of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel (2010-2011). He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. He also is president of the Texas Tech University School of Law Foundation Board and board chair of Lubbock National Bank.

The mission of the State Bar of Texas is to support the administration of the legal system, assure all citizens equal access to justice, foster high standards of ethical conduct for lawyers, enable its members to better serve their clients and the public, educate the public about the rule of law, and promote diversity in the administration of justice and the practice of law.
