Changes to the Texas MCLE Regulations
The State Bar of Texas Board of Directors approved changes to the MCLE regulations that will simplify accreditation fees charged to will increase efficiency and cost savings for the State Bar. These changes will become effective January 1, 2020. Under the new fee structure, the per attendee payment option is eliminated and a flat fee will be charged based upon total hours: One fee for courses between 0.5 and 2.5 hours, one fee for courses between 2.75 and 5 hours, one fee for courses 5.25-10 hours, and one fee for courses 10.25 or more hours. It is important to note that the changes will not adversely affect costs for CLE sponsors or attorneys.
