Fort Worth to Host State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting
FORT WORTH – Noted national speakers and legal experts will attract thousands of Texas attorneys to Fort Worth for the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, June 10-11, 2010 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Featured speakers include:
Dick Thornburgh, former U.S. Attorney General, Under-Secretary

Hon. Pete Geren, former U.S. Secretary of the Army and member of the
U.S. House of Representatives

Terry Tottenham of Austin will be sworn in as president of the State Bar of Texas, assuming the leadership role from Roland Johnson of Fort Worth. Bob Black of Beaumont will become president-elect. The Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) will welcome Jennifer Evans Morris of Dallas as president, who will take the helm from Cori Harbour of El Paso. Natalie Cobb Koehler of Meridian will become TYLA president-elect.
The public sector is invited to attend two free open government panel discussions – how social media impacts open government and current legal challenges to the Texas Open Meetings Act.
The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas. The Bar provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
