Ethics Helpline
The Chief Disciplinary Counsel's Office maintains a toll-free Attorney Ethics Helpline from 8 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This service is for Texas attorneys who have questions about their ethical obligations to clients, courts, and the public under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. The Helpline number is (800)532-3947.

Closing a Law Practice

Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program (TLAP)
The Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program provides confidential help for lawyers, law students, and judges who have problems with substance use and/or mental health issues. TLAP’s experienced and professional staff are available to answer your questions, and communications are confidential by statute. You can call TLAP any time at (800) 343-8527.

Online Mental Health Therapy
BetterHelp offers a wide range of specialties including developing ways to help improve your performance as an attorney by giving you tools to deal with the stresses of a legal practice.
