Pro Bono Awards

Many lawyers and legal advocates are dedicated to delivering services to Texans who have no meaningful access to our justice system; often, they do so with no compensation or acknowledgment.

To honor their contributions, the Committees for Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters and Legal Services to the Poor in Criminal Matters present awards to the individuals, groups, and entities that perform exceptional work in the field of legal services to the poor.

If a past nominee did not win in a previous year, their name can be submitted again. Nominees not selected for the Pro Bono Awards may be considered for other State Bar of Texas awards. Each Committee will notify the honorees in May.
