Dallas to host 2024 State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting

AUSTIN — The 2024 State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting will take place June 20-21 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. News media are welcome to attend; free registration is required. Featured speakers at the meeting include:

  • Camille Vasquez, NBC News legal analyst, litigator, and partner at Brown Rudnick, known for her key role in the Johnny Depp defamation case, will deliver the keynote address at the Bar Leaders Recognition Luncheon on June 20.

  • David A. Grenardo, professor of law and associate director of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions at St. Thomas University School of Law (Minneapolis), will deliver the keynote address at the Bench Bar Breakfast on June 21.

  • Hon. Irma Carrillo Ramirez, judge of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, will speak at the General Session Luncheon on June 21.

Other special events include:

  • Steve Benesh of Austin will be sworn in as the 2024-2025 president of the State Bar of Texas at noon on June 21 during the General Session Luncheon.

  • Santos Vargas of San Antonio will be sworn in as the 2024-2025 State Bar of Texas president-elect on June 20 during a board of directors meeting.
