Dallas attorney Paul K. Stafford selected
chair-elect of
State Bar of Texas Board of Directors
GALVESTON—Paul K. Stafford was selected chair-elect of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors during the board’s quarterly meeting today in Galveston. Stafford, of Stafford Moore, PLLC, in Dallas, will take office in June and will serve as chair until June 2025.
Stafford is currently a State Bar director representing District 6, Place 5. He is a past chair of the bar’s African American Lawyers Section, serves on the council of the bar’s Insurance Law Section, and is a member of the bar’s Diversity in the Profession Committee.
Stafford is a past president of the J.L. Turner Legal Association and the Dallas Bar Association, a former trustee of the Dallas Bar Foundation, a former chair of the J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation, and currently serves as a trustee on the Texas Tech School of Law Foundation Board. He is a visiting professor at Texas Tech School of Law, and has served as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M School of Law.
A business litigator, Stafford received his law degree from Texas Tech School of Law in 1994. He focuses primarily on complex commercial and business litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and technology matters.
Prior to founding his own firm, Stafford worked as a civil litigator in corporate legal environments and large law firms. Early in his career, he served as an assistant criminal district attorney in Denton and Dallas counties.
Stafford has been recognized as a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer, by Texas Lawyer as a Top-Five Commercial Litigator, among the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine, and as a distinguished lawyer by both Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
