Corpus Christi-area attorneys for service to the legal profession

What: The State Bar of Texas Board of Directors and President Randy Sorrels will present resolutions to area attorneys Tracy O. Figueroa and Audrey M. Vicknair.

Background: At its quarterly meetings, the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors often adopts resolutions honoring local attorneys or judges for exceptional service to the profession and community. Selections are made after seeking input from local State Bar directors, area bar associations, colleagues, and others familiar with the work of the attorneys or judges receiving the recognition.

Tracy O. Figueroa leads Texas RioGrande Legal Aid Inc’s Disaster Assistance Group, which coordinates outreach in communities affected by disasters. Figueroa is nationally known for her work in disaster recovery services and previously has been honored for her tireless efforts to organize TRLA’s legal aid response in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

Audrey M. Vicknair is board certified in appellate law and has built a thriving solo practice on 20 years of experience handling civil appeals in South Texas. Vicknair is well known for her service to the community. She has served on the board of directors for the Corpus Christi Bar Association in every capacity, is an energetic steward for the Texas Bar Foundation, and has been a 15-year servant of the board of the Corpus Christi Crime Stoppers.
