State Bar President Tom Vick Statement on Former Employee’s Arrest
State Bar of Texas President Tom Vick today released the following statement on the arrest of a former State Bar employee.
“In October, a State Bar of Texas staff member was arrested on a charge of invasive visual recording related to activities alleged to have taken place at the University of Texas at Austin campus. Following the arrest, the employee was suspended without pay and soon after resigned from the State Bar of Texas. These are troubling allegations that center on the former employee’s alleged actions outside of his work for the State Bar of Texas. At this time, we have no indication that any State Bar employees or State Bar members were victims of the former employee’s alleged actions. The State Bar is cooperating with authorities as this investigation continues.”
