State Bar of Texas to honor McAllen-area individuals at Annual Meeting
AUSTIN — The State Bar of Texas will honor exceptional service to the public and the legal profession during its Annual Meeting on June 16-17 at the Fort Worth Convention Center and Omni Hotel.
The following McAllen-area individuals are among those being honored:

Victor Flores of McAllen, TYLA President’s Award of Merit, presented by the Texas Young Lawyers Association

Efren C. Olivares of Alamo, J. Chrys Dougherty Legal Services Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters Committee. The award is named in memory of J. Chrys Dougherty, a private attorney and bar leader, and recognizes an outstanding legal services staff attorney.

Justice Dori C. Garza of Edinburg, Judge of the Year Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Hispanic Issues Section
