State Bar of Texas to honor Fort Worth-area individuals at Annual Meeting

AUSTIN — The State Bar of Texas will honor exceptional service to the public and the legal profession during its Annual Meeting on June 16-17 at the Fort Worth Convention Center and Omni Hotel.

The following Fort Worth-area individuals are among those being honored:

  • Dr. Michelle Baumi, Leon Jaworski Award for Teaching Excellence, presented by the State Bar of Texas Law Related Education Department

  • Judge William Harris, Outstanding Mentor, presented by the Texas Young Lawyers Association

  • Dean Andrew P. Morriss of Texas A&M University School of Law, TYLA President’s Award of Merit, presented by the Texas Young Lawyers Association

  • John Allen Chalk, Frank Evans Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Alternate Dispute Resolution Section

  • Allan Howeth, Distinguished Texas Probate Attorney Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section

  • W. Bradley Parker of Bedford, Presidential Citation, presented by the State Bar of Texas for his service as co-chair of the 2016 State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting
