State Bar of Texas to honor Canadian, TX attorney at Annual Meeting
AUSTIN — The State Bar of Texas will honor exceptional service to the public and the legal profession during its Annual Meeting on June 16-17 at the Fort Worth Convention Center and Omni Hotel.
The following Canadian, Texas attorney is among those being honored:

Charles L. Kessie, Frank J. Scurlock Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters Committee. The award is named for the late Frank J. Scurlock, the first chair of the committee. Scurlock was known for his tireless efforts to provide legal services to the poor.
