State Bar of Texas to honor Tyler organization, individuals at Annual Meeting
AUSTIN — Presentations of awards honoring exceptional service to the public and the legal profession will be a highlight of the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, to be held June 18-19 at the Grand Hyatt and Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
The following Tyler organization and individuals are among those being honored:

Smith County Bar Foundation, Star of Achievement Award, for hosting the Supreme Court of Texas in Tyler for oral arguments on two cases. The foundation and 20 fellows worked with the University of Texas at Tyler, two other colleges, and area high schools to expose hundreds of high school and college students to the court.

Buck Files, Outstanding 50 Year Lawyer Award, presented by the Texas Bar Foundation

Judge William Wayne Justice (posthumously), Patrick Wiseman Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Individual Rights and Responsibilities Section
