State Bar of Texas to honor Lubbock judge, attorney at Annual Meeting

AUSTIN — Presentations of awards honoring exceptional service to the public and the legal profession will be a highlight of the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, to be held June 18-19 at the Grand Hyatt and Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.

The following Lubbock individuals are among those being honored:

  • Judge Judy C. Parker, recipient of the Judge Merrill Hartman Pro Bono Judge Award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters Committee. The award is named after the late Judge Merrill Hartman of Dallas and honors a judge for exemplary pro bono service.

  • Laura Pratt, Commitment to Service Award, presented by the Texas Young Lawyers Association
