State Bar of Texas statement on resignation of Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson

State Bar of Texas President Lisa M. Tatum today released the following statement on the resignation of Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson:

“Chief Justice Jefferson is a remarkable public servant. He is a true friend and valued partner to the lawyers across the state and the State Bar of Texas. His tenure and his commitment to access-to-justice initiatives among others are to be commended.”

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
