State Bar of Texas Presents Law Day Awards to Texas Students

AUSTIN – The State Bar of Texas and Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) today presented awards to winners of the 2012 Law Day contest. The national Law Day theme is No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom.

State Bar President Bob Black and TYLA President Natalie Cobb Koehler presented the awards, with prizes ranging from $50 to $1,000. Law Day was established in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to challenge students to understand how the rule of law impacts their lives, and to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy.
