Lubbock Lawyers Honored by State Bar of Texas

(Austin) – Presentation of awards honoring exceptional service to the public and the legal profession was a highlight of the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, held June 26-27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

Ralph Brock was honored with the Judge Sam Williams Leadership Award, presented to an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership, and who partners a local bar association's efforts with the public and member services of the State Bar of Texas.

Jobe Rodgers was presented with a Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) Award of Merit. Rodgers served as co-chair of the TYLA Technology Committee and as a vice chair of the Community Education Committee. He was instrumental in the drafting of Identity Theft, a public service pamphlet available through the State Bar's Public Information Department.

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
