The State Bar of Texas frequently works with other professional organizations to provide both the public and lawyers with the assistance they need.

These organizations, like State Bar of Texas , provide a wide range of legal services. We are proud to be affiliated with them and their efforts.

Board of Disciplinary Appeals
The Board of Disciplinary Appeals is a statewide independent adjudicatory body of 12 attorneys appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas to hear certain attorney discipline cases and to promote consistency in interpretation and application of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure.

Paralegal Division
This division works to enhance legal assistants' participation in professional responsibility, the administration of justice, and public service in cooperation with the State Bar of Texas.

Texas Access to Justice Commission
The mission of the Texas Access to Justice Commission is to develop and implement policy initiatives designed to expand access to, and enhance the quality of, justice in civil legal matters for low-income Texans, also known as legal aid.

Texas Access to Justice Foundation
The nonprofit Texas Access to Justice Foundation administers funds to create community capacity to provide civil legal services for low-income Texans, also known as legal aid.

Texas Bar College
The Texas Bar College is an honorary society of Texas Bar members who make the commitment to enhance their professional skills and the quality of their service to the public by significant voluntary participation in legal education.

Texas Bar Foundation
The Texas Bar Foundation solicits charitable contributions and provides funding to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas, especially for programs that relate to the administration of justice; ethics in the legal profession; legal assistance for the needy; the encouragement of legal research, publications and forums; and the education of the public.

Texas Board of Law Examiners
The Board of Law Examiners is the judicial agency responsible for administering the bar exam and determining that applicants to the bar in Texas meet qualifications set by the Supreme Court of Texas.

Texas Board of Legal Specialization
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization offers certification for attorneys in 21 specialty areas of law and for legal assistants in seven specialty areas of law.

Texas Center for Legal Ethics
The Texas Center for Legal Ethics is a 501(c)(3) public foundation that focuses on promoting and enhancing ethics, professionalism, and civility among the state's lawyers.

Texas Lawyers Auxiliary
This organization of spouses of attorneys organizes a number of public education projects statewide.

Texas Legal
Texas Legal (formerly TLPP) is a nonprofit group legal services plan that was founded by the State Bar of Texas in 1972. Texas Legal offers affordable legal insurance to individuals and groups of all kinds, including companies, associations, and unions throughout Texas.

Texas Young Lawyers Association 
The Texas Young Lawyers Association serves young lawyers through educational programs and volunteer opportunities and offers a wide range of programs that help educate Texans about the law.

Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee
The Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the State of Texas is charged with preventing the practice of law by persons who are not licensed attorneys.
