Mentorship is a critical part of training new pro bono volunteers and ensuring pro bono clients receive excellent representation. For that reason, the State Bar of Texas developed the Pro Bono Mentor Match to help connect pro bono attorneys who need a mentor with experienced attorneys who are willing to mentor them on a pro bono case
To search the Pro Bono Mentor Match database, select a region or practice area. Then click on the mentor's name to view their profile. Once you find a mentor that seems like a good fit, reach out to initiate a mentoring relationship. As a bonus, both of you may be eligible to earn up to 5 hours of CLE credit, including 1 hour of ethics, through the Pro Bono Mentor Program.
