The list of Licensed Texas Attorneys Not eligible to practice law in
Texas is current as of the date as indicated on the report.
The list is arranged alphabetically by county and there is a code explaining

The six possible reasons a Texas attorney’s license to practice
law in Texas has been suspended or removed by order of the Supreme Court
are coded as follows: (1) default in payment of fees for membership in the
State Bar pursuant to Article III, Section 5 of the State Bar Rules, (2)
failure to comply with the Minimum Continuing Legal Education requirements
set forth in Article XII of the State Bar Rules and the Revised MCLE Rules
and Regulations (included are all those suspended on or before August 19,
2002), (3) disciplinary sanctions set forth by the Chief Disciplinary
Counsel’s office of the State Bar of Texas, (4) default in payment
of the Attorney Occupation tax pursuant to Subchapter H, Sec. 191.1441(a)
of the Tax Code, (5) failure to comply with the Texas Guaranteed Student
Loan Corporation requirements pursuant to the Rules for Suspension of Attorneys
in Default of Guaranteed Student Loans adopted by the Supreme Court of Texas
on June 18, 1996; or, failure to pay child support pursuant to Section 232.002
of the Texas Family Code, and (6) failure to take A Guide To The Basics
Of Law Practice course pursuant to Supreme Court of Texas Misc. Docket
No. 06-9075.
In addition to those reasons listed above, there are three other
possible reasons an attorney is not eligible to practice law in Texas. [NOTE:
The attorneys in the following categories are not suspended,
but are not eligible to practice law in Texas because of their status.]
The three possible reasons are coded as follows: (7) inactive attorneys
unable to practice law pursuant to Section 81.053(a) of the State Bar Act,
(8) attorneys who have filed a non-practicing exemption with the Minimum
Continuing Legal Education office set forth in Article XII of the State
Bar Rules and the Revised MCLE Rules and Regulations, and (9) attorneys
that have voluntarily resigned from the State Bar of Texas pursuant to Article
III, Section 6 of the State Bar Rules.
We ask that you review your docket(s) of pending cases to see if any
of these attorneys are scheduled for upcoming appearances. If so,
we request that you take appropriate measures to ensure that such attorneys
are not allowed to make court appearances until they can show proof that
their license has been reinstated in the form of a receipt or a letter of
good standing. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
If you have any questions regarding the file, please contact the State
Bar of Texas at (512) 427-1463 or toll free (800) 204-2222 and ask for the
