IN-HOUSE COUNSEL INFORMATION
Corporate and government representatives who participate in the TMCP
will have the opportunity to meet a diverse pool of outside counsel by conducting
informational interviews. We make it easy for you by: 1) compiling
credentials in an online database for you to review; and 2) providing an
area at the conference for you to have one-on-one meetings with whomever
you select. Conducting interviews at the TMCP involves the following:
1. Pre-Selection
Pre-selection gives your organization an opportunity to select attorneys
prior to the conference to ensure that you meet outside counsel with the
skill sets that are needed by your organization – either now or in
the future. The representatives from your company who will be conducting
interviews will receive instructions via e-mail on how to review and download
the résumés. Limited on-site interview sign-up will be available
for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis if you leave time slots
available for them to do so.
2. Training Session
All in-house counsel responsible for conducting interviews are strongly
encouraged to attend one of the 15-minute training sessions at the conference.
3. Interview Times
At the conference, interviews will be held from 1:30 - 5:15 p.m. on Thursday,
and from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday. All interviews are 15-minute
consecutive sessions.
OUTSIDE COUNSEL INFORMATION
Law firm registrants who attend the TMCP have the chance to sign-up for
informational interviews with corporate and government representatives.
Attorneys must first register for the conference and then submit all necessary
information by the early registration deadline to be considered for pre-selection.
Signing up for the informational interviews involves the following:
1. Expectations
The TMCP is an opportunity to network and form new business relationships.
The TMCP is not a job fair, nor is there any guarantee that you will receive
work as a result of the interview process. We hope to provide you
with an opportunity to meet with in-house lawyers and tell them about your
practice area. This introduction is the first step to getting your
name known by the organization so that you can be considered for future
work opportunities.
2. Submitting Your Résumé
Register for the conference online or by mail or fax. After your registration
is received, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to upload a résumé.
Upload (1) a personal résumé and (2) a firm résumé,
including a narrative description of your firm’s practice, area(s)
of expertise, and all office locations. If your personal résumé
already includes this information, you may omit the firm résumé.
All résumés must be received by the early registration deadline
to be utilized for pre-selection.
3. Notification
You will be notified via e-mail at least one week prior to the conference
whether you have been pre-selected for an informational interview.
If you are selected, your e-mail will include the date and time of your
interview, the interviewing company, and, if available, the name of the
interviewer.
4. Interview Times & On-site Sign-up
At the conference, your registration packet will include interview instructions
and a final interview schedule. Limited on-site interview sign-up
will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for pre-scheduled
time slots that are still available. We strongly encourage you to
attend one of the outside counsel interview training sessions. Interviews
will be held from 1:30 - 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, and from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
on Friday. All interviews are 15-minute consecutive sessions.
