State Bar section memberships are available to both lawyers and non-lawyers. Non-lawyer section members are considered "associate members" and receive all the benefits of section membership, including journals and opportunities to attend section meetings and events. Non-lawyer section memberscannot vote for section council members or serve on a section council.
If you are an attorney, to join a section just visit MyBarPage (log in if necessary), scroll down to the Sections module, and click "Purchase Sections." You can quickly pay online via credit or debit.
