Military Attorney Registration
Military attorneys stationed in Texas, but not licensed to practice law in Texas, may seek limited permission to represent military service members or their dependents. Attorneys must have admission to practice law and be in good standing.

Examiners
(BLE) is responsible for program registration and application
renewals.
The Board will acknowledge receipt of your application within two weeks. If you do not receive such an acknowledgment within two weeks, please contact the office of the Texas Board of Law Examiners at (800) 463-1621.
You will be notified once your registration is completed and your application has been approved. The acknowledgment letter will serve as your Registration for Limited Permission to Practice Law in Texas.
Registration Renewal
Registration is renewable annually, provided that you complete at least 15 credit hours of continuing legal education coursework offered by the State Bar of Texas within the first year of your registration. These hours should include a minimum of 3 hours of legal ethics.
