Fort Worth Area Individuals and Organizations Honored by State Bar of Texas
SAN ANTONIO – Presentation of awards honoring exceptional service to the public and the legal profession will be a highlight of the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, to be held June 23-24 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
The following Fort Worth area individuals and organizations are among those being honored:
Patience LeBlanc of Frisco, Teacher of the Year, Law-Related Education, presented by the Texas Lawyers Auxiliary.
Brooke Ulrickson Allen, Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) President’s Award of Merit.
Michael A. McConnell, Robert B. Wilson Distinguished Service Award, presented by the Bankruptcy Law Section.
Hon. W. Royal Furgeson, Jr., Luther H. Soules Award, presented by the Litigation Section.
Rep. Jerry Madden of Richardson, Special Service Award, presented by the Municipal Judges Section.
Allen Mihecoby of Fort Worth and Gloria Porter of Denton, Outstanding Committee Chair Award, presented by the Paralegal Division.
Lisa Pittman of Denton, Special Recognition Award, presented by the Paralegal Division.
Tarrant County Bar Association, Award of Merit.
The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
