State Bar of Texas Selects 20 Lawyers for LeadershipSBOT
AUSTIN – The State Bar of Texas has announced selection of the 2010-11 class of LeadershipSBOT. Selected for their leadership potential, participants meet for three multi-day sessions throughout the year to develop the skills necessary to become effective and respected leaders in the legal profession and in their communities. The long range goal of the program is to create State Bar and local lawyer leaders that more closely reflect the demographics of Texas.
Participants also must demonstrate commitment to a profession and judiciary that reflects the diversity of the state, as well as to serving on a State Bar/TYLA or related-entity committee or board. As part of its commitment to public service, the group contributed three hours of volunteer effort to Habitat for Humanity in Austin on Sept. 10.

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
