TYLA Civil Rights Program to Draw 350 Students to Texas Capitol Thursday
(Austin) – "They Had a Dream Too: Young Leaders of the Civil Rights Movement" – an award-winning program about how students 50 years ago had a profound impact on shaping current civil rights laws – will draw 350 students from seven Texas high schools to the Texas Capitol tomorrow, Jan. 31.

TYLA's "They Had a Dream Too" is a nationally recognized curriculum project that assists educators, challenges and inspires students, and helps build future leaders. The project is funded by a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation. The largest such bar foundation in the country, the Texas Bar Foundation solicits charitable contributions and provides funding to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas.
All lawyers licensed by the State Bar of Texas who are 36 years old or younger or who are in their first five years of licensure are members of TYLA.
