State Bar of Texas Recognizes School Students with Law Day Awards

(Austin) – The State Bar of Texas will present awards to Texas school students selected as winners of the annual Law Day contest at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 2, at the Texas Law Center, 1414 Colorado St., Austin.

The Rule of Law: Foundation for Communities of Opportunity and Equity" is this year's Law Day theme. Law Day, established in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, challenges students to understand how the rule of law impacts their daily lives and to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy. State Bar President-Elect Harper Estes will present the awards, with prizes ranging from $50 - $1,000, during the ceremony in Austin.
